Drug allergy is a very difficult area of clinical practice because drugs have complex effects and
side effects that may mimic, mask or aggravate allergic reaction. There are few reliable
investigations to confirm or exclude drug allergy ; diagnosis, therefore, requires considerable
expertise. Not all adverse reactions to drugs are caused by allergy; diagnosis, therefore, requires
