Self Introduction (Watashi desu)
Minna san ohayoo gozaimasu.
Hajimemashite. Watashi wa Rene Cruz de
gozaimasu. Doozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
Watashi wa Firipinjin desu. Nijuu san sai
desu. Nigatsu yokka ni umaremashita.
Daisuki na kudomono wa ringo de daisuki
na supootsu wa badominton desu. Tempura
wa taberaremasu ga sushi wa mada
taberaremasen. Nigai tabemono wa kirai desu.
Mainichi, watashi wa hon o yondari tegami o
kaitari ongaku o kiitari shimasu. Kodomono no
toki watashi ga yoku asobimashita.
Watashi wa Nihongo ga hanasemasu.
Nihon no shinbun o yomu koto mo dekimasu.
Hiragana o kakemasu ga Kanji ga mada
kakemasen.
(Everybody, good morning. I am Mr. Rene
Cruz. I am glad to meet you.
I am a Filipino. 23 years old. I was born on
February 4.
My favorite fruit is apple. My favorite sports
is badminton. I eat shrimp tempura but I haven’t
tried to eat sushi. I don’t eat hot foods.
Everyday, I read books, I write letters, and I
listen to music. When I was still a kid I play
almost all of the time.
I can speak Japanese and I can read a
Japanese newspaper. I can write Hiragana but I
try to write Kanji.)

My Family (Watashi no kazoku desu)
Watashi no kazoku wa go nin imasu. Go-
kyoodai ga futari imasu. Chichi wa gojuu ni sai
de haha wa yonjuu kyuu sai desu. Futari wa
mada joobu desu.
Ichiban ue wa ane de nibamme wa ani
desu. Watashi wa ichiban shita desu.
Chichi wa kaishain de haha wa kangofu
desu. Ane wa bengoshi de ani wa haisha desu.
Watashi wa mada daigaku no gakusei desu.
(We are five in the family. I have two
siblings. My father is 52 years old and my
mother is 49 years old. They are both well.
The eldest is my sister, second is my
brother, and I am the youngest.
My father is an office worker. My mother is a
nurse. My sister is a lawyer. My brother is a
dentist and I am still studying in college.)
My Country (Watashi no kuni desu)
Watashi no kuni no namae wa Firipin desu.
Firipin wa Toonan Ajia ni arimasu. Firipin no
shima wa sen hyaku nana desu.
Kono kuni wa totemo yokute kirei na kuni
desu. Kaigan ga kirei de takusan desu.
Firipin no tenki wa atatakai desu.
Kurisumasu no toki ni tokidoki tenki wa suzushii
desu.
Firipin no tabemono wa ichiban oishii desu.
Tatoeba kare kare ya adobo desu.
Firipin jin wa yappari shinsetsu na hitobito
desu.
(The Philippines is my country. It is located
in Sountheast Asia. It is composed of 7,107
islands.
This country is very good and beautiful.
There are a lot of beautiful beaches.
Filipino food is the number one delicious
food.
Filipinos are really kind persons.)
