Organic Compound - are compounds that are primarily composed of carbon atoms which are
chemically bonded with hydrogen and other elements.

Hydrocarbons - are a specific group of organic compounds which contain carbon and hydrogen
only.

Ethene - a gaseous organic compound. It is a plant's compound that is responsible for the ripening of
fruits.

Carbonyl Compound - Can be used as a cleaning agent and preserving organic materials

Trivia
➢ A colloid can be either homogeneous or heterogeneous, but the size of
the solid particles that are distributed through the other component will indicate its
status as a colloid.

➢ The Tyndall effect describes the reasoning behind some colloids appearing
translucent.

➢ Azeotropes are mixtures that cannot readily be separated after forming the mixture.

➢ Colloids were studied extensively by Scottish scientist Thomas

Graham, which led to the fields of study related to interface and colloid science.
