Halal Science Contributes to Halal Food

because of its ready availability, higher melting point, as
well as able to improve organoleptic property: texture and
succulence.
One of the well-known institutions in Asia that
concerns in developing new techniques for screening of
non halal components as well as looking for new
ingredients as substitute for non halal items in food is The
Halal Science Center at Chulalongkorn University (HSC-
CU) that has developed a multi-approach management
system so called HAL-Q standing for Halal Assurance
and Liability Quality system for organizing Good
Manufacturing Product (GMP) /High Analysis Critical
Control Point (HACCP) principle with scientific-based
Halal discipline.
 A good knowledge of halal science will save
Muslim in consuming non-halal food as well as building
awareness of the deception in many ways.
