● Youth Enrichment/Standardized
Testing Prep/Networking
Although middle school does a lot to
prepare kids for high school, preparing for
college is still a looming topic that isn’t as
addressed in middle school. The emphasis
of tests are ridiculed due to the difficulty of
the STAAR Test (or the lack thereof) and
should be emphasized so more kids learn
the skills needed to pass a test such as
SAT/ACT.
How will we address this issue?

● Creating a unique after school program

to encompass all of these aspects would
address the need at hand
● Partnering with a single school can help
by giving us a chance to test out what
works and what doesn’t
● By helping tutoring kids, we can make a
change by bringing kids together to
conquer a common goal
Organization (Prodigy)
● Prodigy is a startup, non profit organization run by the five members of the project to

prepare students to pass STAAR and create a network with other students in the

organization that will last in their high school years and beyond.

Important Dates
● Every Wednesday of the Month we will be volunteering at Lanier Middle School in
order to provide tutoring services for students taking the STAAR in May.
● Our main objective is to prepare students for the STAAR reading and math test through
fun activities.
