There are believed to be as many as 6.7 million drug abusers. This is a dramatic increase from 1972 when there was only believed to have been around 20,000 drug users in the Philippines. The drugs that are most commonly abused in the Philippines includes alcohol, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine (shabu), opium and ecstasy (MDMA) Objective/s: The activity aims to achieve the following for the community: 1. To increase awareness on substance abuse. 2. To educate the community on how to avoid, stop or to get help for substance use. 3. To gain knowledge about different types of substance abuse and their prevention or treatment such as alcohol, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine (shabu), opium and ecstasy (MDMA).

Health Teaching The participants will gain - Lecture Manila Paper with - Discussion or expand their lecture. - Question and knowledge on substance Answer abuse, how to avoid and stop it. 2. Role Playing The participants will be - Role play None - Demonstration divided into 5 groups and each group will demonstrate a substance abuse case and will show how to avoid and prevent the abuse by role playing.
