KAREN
[Aggressively] “You’ve known about this deadline for
weeks. Months even. You have no excuse”

OLIVER MEETS ERIN AND MONDAY
Oliver walks up some steps through a door into another
classroom to find Erin and Monday sat at a table doing some
art work, he walks over to them and looks at Erin’s photos.
OLIVER
“Did you take these?”
ERIN
[Unsure] “Yeah”
OVLIER
“There really good where do you take
them?”
ERIN
[Unsure] “Just, around”
4
OLIVER
[Enthusiastic] “Yeah there art work is
insane”
ROY
“That’s what happens when you have nothing
else to but art”
KAREN
[Aggressively] “At least these two are going to get
a good grade for this course and not waste
two years of their lives”
ROY
“I’m getting there”
OLIVER
“They’re just very passionate, that’s a
good trait to have when doing art”
KAREN
“Well, Erin’s especially passionate about
art because of her condition, she can’t
see images in her head,[humorously] she’s
brain blind.”
OLIVER
[Enthusiastic] No way. You can’t imagine things,
that’s so cool you must appreciate
everything you see so much more
ERIN
[Softly] That’s one way of looking at it I suppose
OLIVER
[Passionately] It’s better to look at the positive
side of things that you are unable to
change otherwise you’re letting them get
the better of you, what’s the point of
dwelling on the down side, your just
wasting your time and all it does is make
you feel miserable
5
Erin stares at Oliver looking overwhelmed at the whole
situation.
KAREN
“Wise words Oliver, wise words”
ROY
“I mean he’s not wrong”
END OF SCENE 2
6
Erin cycling at a fast paste down pathways while Oliver
tries to keep up with her. As the shots change time speeds
up showing them doing this over months and building a
friendship. Until eventually arriving at Erin’s photography
spot.
(Composition – 2: end)
ERIN AND OLIVER ARGUE
Erin and Oliver walk to their usual bench and sit down
together.
OLIVER
[Breathless] I won again
ERIN
You’re getting better, you should join the
Olympics
OLIVER
[Laughing] Maybe, I’d get to travel the
world I suppose
ERIN
I suppose you would
OLIVER
Erin… don’t you get bored of seeing the
same view every day
ERIN
No, it never gets boring
OLIVER
Not even a little bit
ERIN
Nope.
7
OLIVER
But don’t you want to travel, and take
even more beautiful photos, [enthusiastic]
see what the world has to offer rather
than from a screen
ERIN
I can’t.
OLIVER
[Enthusiastic] Why not
ERIN
Obligations
OLIVER
[In frustration] What do you mean? What kind of
obligations?
Erin turns around to face Oliver.
[Aggressively] I don’t want to talk about it, ok!
Oliver stands there for a brief moment until walking away
and leaving. Erin looks slightly concerned however then
turns back around and continues to take photos.
END OF SECENE 3
8
Erin takes the tickets from Oliver.
