The original TIEDE accessories presented in this leaflet are certified equipment and complementary
auxiliaries. Each item has been tested in combination with TIEDE products and stands its test in the
operational practice. As far as necessary operation manuals are provided.
Magnetoscope
To detect residual magnetism.
The magnetoscope measures depending on the mass. Therefore with this
instrument only a YES/NO statement on the residual magnetism can be
made.

The instrument does not require a battery.

Test piece according to Prof. Berthold

The test piece consists of a soft iron cylinder divided into 4 90°-segments
by inserted non-magnetizable sheets.
These inserted sheets with a magnetic resistance like air simulate a cross
slot allowing the direction verification of magnetic fields.

When using magnetic powder suspensions it is most important to check

the indication ability of the test media permanently. Hydro-mechanical
strains in pump circulations, discharge of powder particles, too weak or
too strong preparation of the media can be reasons for not proper
identification of flaws.
After rinsing the calibration block with test liquid the shown crack picture
gives information to which extent the used test liquid is able to deliver
indications.

ASTM-centrifuge
Complete with stand.

At in oil or water suspended magnetic powders the exact portion of

powder can be determined by the ASTM-centrifuge.
At correct concentration a specified number of scale-lines has to be
achieved after a settling time (30 minutes with water or 60 minutes with
oil). Magnetic powder suspensions already in pump circulation should not
be checked with the ASTM centrifuge since existing dirt particles falsify the
indication.

a higher-level data processor.

Magnetic field strength meter FSM-2
The Tiede FSM-2 serves for tangential measurement of the magnetic field
strength at alternating and constant fields. The measurement is effected by
a tangential field probe put on the work piece surface during
magnetization. The voltage fed hall sensor receives a voltage change by
the effective magnetic field. The measured voltage is always proportional
to the upcoming magnetic field.
