Solar Flex Inc. Expands Its Solar Technology to The Camping Industry
A New Solar Tent created by Solar Flex Inc. allows campers to stay connected while enjoying the
outdoors.

Lexington, VA (Feb. 1, 2018) – Solar Flex Inc. is releasing a light weight, durable, solar powered
tent that will be demoed at the Denver Outdoor Show next week and released to market this
summer season.

The tent is made of waterproof fabric and comes with built-in solar panels connected to a 200-
foot-long cord, so campers can maximize the area in which the solar panels have access to the
sun.

The solar panels connect to an outlet that can power all of a camper’s outdoor needs such as an
electric stove, flashlight, and mini-fridge, and gives campers the ability to stay connected by
charging laptops, phones, and more.

Director of Marketing for Solar Flex Inc. Thomas Becher stated that “the tent is a great way to
introduce people to the outdoors without leaving the comforts of their home”.

The panels take 48 hours to fully charge and can be used for a 24-hour period with no
additional sunlight. Campers can turn the panels on and off to maximize the energy period.

Solar Flex Inc. created the panels with their standard solar technology used on their rooftop
panels, but modified the hardware to create a curved, lightweight, durable, and cost-effective
model that could be adapted to camping.

The solar panels can be folded and the entire tent can fit into a three-foot-long by two-foot-
wide bag that can be placed in the back of a car trunk. The tent is about 35 pounds, easy to use,
and can be set up in three simple steps.

The tent comes in a two-person and a six-person size. The two-person tent has three solar
panels and is priced at $249, while the six-person tent includes four solar panels and is sold for
$449.
