SUBJECT : FOURTHQUARTER DIRECTIVES
DATE : 26 January 2019

This is to advise you of the following directives for the fourth quarter of SY 2018-2019:

a. It is expected that you have started discussing your curriculum plan for the fourth quarter last
January 16, 2019. Our school’s wrap up day will be on March 04, 2019, which will be followed
by the examination week on March 14-18, 2019. However, all students are required to attend
the wrap up homeroom and clearance sessions until March 21, 2019. Non-attendance during
homeroom classes will result to incomplete grades/ marked absences.

b. Please be conscious of your “Students at Risk:”. These are students who might be taking
summer classes or will not be promoted to the next level for the following school year. As
earlier agreed, the ratios of promotable and non-promotable students are part of your
deliverables as class adviser. Likewise, please note that incoming grade 1 students are
restricted for “readers” only. Non-readers may be re-assessed after taking the enrichment
class during summer.

c. Please complete your QTS by March 08, 2019. Kindly start monitoring the QTS as soon as
three (3) quizzes are given. For students who are at risk, it is recommended that you monitor
the QTS daily and immediately assist whenever you observe failing mark/s.

d. During the fourth quarter, long tests must be given on February 07 to 11, 2019 (1st long test)
and Feb 28 to March 4, 2019 (2nd long test). The long tests MUST follow the subject exam
schedule as stated in the calendar.

e. Quizzes – quizzes must be given in a distributed manner that will coincide with the
completion of the topic or concept introduced. Target quizzes remain at 10 with a minimum of
ten items per quiz. You are reminded of our teaching cycle of “introduction, reinforcement,
mastery and then assess/ quiz”.

f. Regular reports like quizzes, C-Cubereport , incident reports and lesson plans/ portfolios
are to be submitted at the end of the month ( forwarded to M Arlene and S Roland as
applicable). Please refer to our meeting last week.

g. Please be guided by the following submission datelines for the third quarter :

> Quarterly Examination- March 06 (submitted) WITH KEY TO CORRECTION

> Class Standing Mark - on or before March 08
> DELIBERATION – awardees; honorees and for remedial march 20
> Alpha, Character/ Conduct marks – on or before March 04 as supported by AMD cards
> Class Record - February 13 and March 08 ( FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE)
 Quarterly Exam ( corrected)- a day after the scheduled exam but no later than March 20
 Quarterly mark – two days after the scheduled exam but no later than March 21

As part of the students’ completion requirements, OUTPUTS, all COWs, POWs and
penmanship books are to be compiled and/or completed by March 02, 2017. All faculty are
to ensure submission.
