1. ABSTRACT
This report is all about how the management of the project can be done easily
through software, which also save our time. Project management software tools
allow companies to become competitive in their environments, optimizing time
and effort and keeping project on track. They are used for planning, managing
time, resources and people, controlling costs and monitoring project progress.

In this report we will learn about the usage of software Orange scrum and learn
about various feature provided by it. The report will show the various steps that
we have had followed in making of the project and managing it. Various tables
and pictures are presented in this report which will give a better understanding of
a steps followed.

2. INTRODUCTION TO SOFTWARE
OrangeScrum is a cloud-based project management and collaboration software
to help organize, projects, teams, and tasks in one place. It gives users full
visibility and control over their projects, enabling them to deliver projects on time
and within budget. As an agile project management software, it offers capabilities
such as stories, sprints, scrum boards, reports and velocity charts .

3. FEATURES, BENEFITS, PRODUCT STRENGTHS

Task and Agile Project Management – OrangeScrum lets users assign,


manage, and evaluate the progress of all tasks in one place. Features include
subtasks, task groups, task linking, custom task labels, predefined or custom task
types for categorization, and priority. It also has a Kanban view where they can
track the status of tasks in every stage, from new to complete. It supports Scrum
and Kanban methods, with features such as backlogs, sprints, templates, story,
epic, story points, burndown chart, velocity chart, and more.

Time Tracking and Invoice – The project management and collaboration


software has time tracking tools that allows time tracking spent on tasks, with
daily and weekly timesheets for evaluating team performance. It has an automatic
timer, billable and non-billable hours, a time log chart view, and many other
reports. Users can create invoices in a few steps. It can send an estimate, a receipt,

and an invoice for billable hours. Created invoices can be saved or sent by email.
An Invoice dashboard shows all the tasks for both billable and non-billable time.
It can also include other details, such as description, resources, start and end
times.

Resource Availability, Mobile Apps, Integrations, and more – OrangeScrum


shows resource availability to help in making smart planning and maximum
utilization of resources. It can also set and track leaves. Native mobile apps for
both iOS and Android are available. They can view and manage projects, tasks,
and files, while also accessing users, helpdesk and My Profile features while on
the go. Integrations are also possible, such as with Slack, Google Drive, and
Dropbox.

4. WHAT IS PROJECT MANAGEMENT?


Projects are temporary and help the business to meet organizational goals and to
respond quickly and easily to the external environment. Organizations use
projects to change operations, products and services to meet business need, gain
competitive advantage and respond to new markets.

A project in any organization is a collaborative effort across departments to


achieve a single well-defined goal. The process of planning, organizing and
managing resources to achieve the organizational objective is called project
management.

5. PROJECT SCHEDULE
Project scheduling is a mechanism to communicate what tasks need to get done
and which organizational resources will be allocated to complete those tasks in
what timeframe. A project schedule is a document collecting all the work needed
to deliver the project on time.

7. TIME SHEET
A timesheet is a method for recording the amount of a worker's time spent on
each job.

8. GANTT CHART
A Gantt chart is a useful graphical tool which shows activities or tasks performed
against time. It is also known as visual presentation of a project where the activities are
broken down and displayed on a chart which makes it is easy to understand and
interpret.
On the chart, tasks are shown on the vertical axis while the scheduled time-spend is laid
out on the horizontal axis. Each task is represented by a bar that shows the time required
for the project. The bar then represents or shows percentage of tasks that have been
completed. It also shows dependencies, which simply means the interlinkages between
various activities in the project.

All organizations, business and companies manage project, people, costs and
tasks on a daily basis. This can prove to be a complicated task. Having a solution
that helps to organize and manage these aspects proves invaluable to a company.
This solution is project management software.
Project management greatly reduces the risk of budget overruns. Project
management allows for effective change management and makes it less of a
complex task. Quality is continuously managed and produce quality
results. Project management helps to identify, manage and control quality.
