The story begins with Aunt Polly looking for Tom in his bedroom then she notice someone

behind her so
she turn around and see Tom so She started to asking and asking why he has his hands and mouth so
dirty. Then she discover that he was eating jam but he was not allowed to eat it. So he knows that he is on
trouble so the only way out would be to lie and say ‘Aunt Look behind you' and he starts to run. And
Aunt Polly thinks to put Tom to work on Saturday holiday but she is not sure.
The next day Tom go home early to help cutting the firewood but Aunt Polly has her doubts about Tom
did not going to school but Tom is smart so he convinced his aunt to think that he already went to school,
he could do that by showing his shirt that was sewed by Polly with white thread.
After that appears his younger half-brother Sid and see Tom’s shirt carefully and discover it was sewed
with black thread, so Tom was laying and Aunt Polly goes crazy and screams ‘Why, I did sew it with
white’ and Tom go out of the house threatening Cid.
Then a stranger appears in front of Tom and Tom didn’t like him so Tom say ‘I can beat you’ so the other
kid answer him and after some threats they start to fight, but Tom wins and the other kid was crying so
Tom let him go.
After a time Tom go home with dusty clothes so Aunt Polly decide that Tom is going to work on
Saturday Holiday
