E202-0101 Error Codes

GENERAL:
This Technical Publication is to inform the field of the description of Error Code E202-0101 and the
measures needed to prevent the occurrence of this error code.

DETAILS:
E202-0101: Backside reading glass (Contact Image Sensor - CIS) Home Position Error. The home position
cannot be detected in the direction (outward) of the home position of the CIS.

SERVICING PROCEDURE:
1. Open the top cover of the DADF.

2. Remove the input baffle.

3. Remove the turn-around baffle.

The E202-0101 is caused from the belt shown below not being adjusted properly or the M6 motor not getting
proper voltage. Also check that the Glass Holder Assembly moves freely with no binding. Check the tie wraps
on the connector for the M6 motor.
