Chapter 1 Introduction of device hardware
There are LCD, Sifang keyboard, four function keys and several groups of
indicator lights on the front panel. Indicator lights indicate the status of power, 8
Ethernet-T ports, 2 Ethernet-FX ports, 10 serial ports as shown in Figure 2-1.
There are two Ethernet indicator lights in one row as a group, respectively
indicators of connection, data sending and receiving. There are two Serial
port lights in one row as a group, respectively indicators of data receiving,
data sending.
LCD of CSM-320EW has 160 × 80 pixel, displaying 10 × 5 Chinese
characters. Driver of LCD is packed with CSM-320E series software package.
LCD, Sifang keyboard and four function keys can help the users to display
and modify some important system information. Please refer to CSM-320E
series software manual for detail usage
There are 2 DB9 serial ports, terminal X1, X2 for serial ports 3~10, 8 Ethernet
Ports, power terminal(designed for redundancy) and extension board(reserved
for expanding Ethernet-FX) on the back panel.CSM-320E can provide tow
Ethernet-FX at most, which are ST ports, wavelengh 1310.

2) Serial ports 3~6 are in RS232 / 485 mode. (Every serial port shares 5pin
Phoenix terminal). The definition is shown as Table 2-2.
X1 (up) X1 (down)
Serial ports 3~10 (terminal X1, X2) have two modes, you can configure it by
software. If serial port is used as RS232 mode, it can not be used as RS485
mode. Every serial port has to be chosen one mode.

Chapter 2 Introduction of device software
1 Overview
CSM-300EA software realizes communication with dispatching center by a
variety of gateway protocols. CSM-300EB and CSM-300EF software connect
protection IEDs from other manufactures to SIFANG monitoring system.
CSM300E series software identifies whether the corresponding functions can
be available according to function code information of the device. The
following Table shows the corresponding relationship between function code
of device and software functions. The functions excluded in the function code
will be prohibited.
Fx Function description
F1 CSM-300EA gateway
F2 CSM-300EB, EF access
F6 gateway + access

Notes: 1. Please do not modify sysinit.1 files.
2. runkey (key management process) and Icdtest (liquid cystal test
process) are started in default in case of batching processing run.
During field operation, please modify the contents of run file
according to the actual situation.
Acquisition of key: The running of CSM-300E software needs to check the key.
When running on CSM320E series devices, the program will automatically
check the key under the path / 300etmp;there is no need for users to generate
the key.

Important note: Configuration files are correlated with each other through channel number
(x) and correspond to the channels in ser.cfg.
CSM-300EA software provides multiple channels communicate with multiple dispatching via
different protocols. Each channel corresponds to one dispatching. By configuration, we can set the
type of protocol to be used, the type of medium for communication, the operation mode of
communication medium, the type of data to be uploaded, etc.
