Evidence: The social media can be a gift, if used wisely. It gives ample opportunities to connect with
people. Recently, I had a personal experience, where I released the positive influence of social media.
My family including my five year son got trapped in the house for 67hours during the recent Kerala
floods with entire ground floor was under water. While electricity was out and phone lines were
jammed, the appeals made through social media grabbed the attention of the rescue workers and
coordinators, who eventually could save the family.
