Individual Report Requirement

1. Overall Requirement
Introducing a communication experience of yours. It can take place under a
context like in club activities, or in your workplaces. Please use the five
communication strategies to analysis your communication process. Discuss what
you learn from this experience, and elaborate how to improve this communication.
The report is not expected to be shorter than 1000 words.

2.Structure
The main body of the report should comprise three parts: Introduction,
Analysis, and Conclusion.
 Introduction: Begin your report by giving a general introduction about the five
communication strategies. Then introduce your specific experience, which should
be fully described, but not introduce every single detail. Ending the Introduction
by stating clearly about the aim of your report.
 Analysis: Use five communication strategies to analyze your communication
process. Tables, figure, examples and other cases can be used in your report to
support your argument.
 Conclusion: What you learn from the communication and how can you improve
it.
Reference is not required for Individual Report. But if you want to, please use the
APA (6th) style.

3. Grading criteria
The structure of the report should be completed (10%). The content of each part
of will be graded according to the following weights: Introduction (10%), Analysis
(30%), Conclusion (10%). The report should comply with the template (10%). The
report should be written in English, and typos, mistakes, grammatical errors will lead
to lower grade (20%). Figure, data, examples, and other supportive evidence should
be included correctly and properly (10%)
4. Submission
Each student submits two reports, one paper-version and one digital version. Name
your reports as “group + Name”, for example “Group 2 + Hunter”. Send your reports
to your group leader, and each group leader send all your group members’ reports to
the course instructor by April 21th.
