At least five recordings of each type of measurement were taken to

determine a repeatability of the measurement. Minimum and maximum
values were recorded. Median is used as a result.

Test conditions Temperature: 23 ± 2 ºC, Relative humidity: 12 ± 3 %, Stabilization 168 h

Equipment Instruments are calibrated and their history can be traced.

Shielding properties of the proximity package, E [J]

Moisture barrier: < 1 nJ (BW 20 MHz)

Remarks
Conductive nylon was used for friction during triboelectric tests.

Residual electric fields were measured from 1 cm distance of the object.

Results were recorded 60 s after initiation of the decay.

Discharge simulation test parameters: 1000 V, 500 Ω, 1.84 A. Attenuation

is a ratio of reference current to discharge current.

Median expresses the correct weighting of the result. A single test result
do not affect to the conclusions below.

Reference document for conclusions: 6-126228, Nokia Packaging

Requirements for ESD Sensitive Devices.

Observations
Inner surface of moisture barrier was insulating. However, construction of
the proximity package consists of multilayer shielding bag and dissipative
reel. Capacitive coupling between layers dominates behaviour of electric
fields.

Conclusions
Secondary plastic bag shall not be brought to the EPA.

Proximity package meets shielding requirements. Moisture barrier bag does

not meet surface resistivity requirements. This does not increase the risk of
destructive ESD due to combined proximity structure of barrier bag and
dissipative reel.

Intimate package meets Nokia packaging requirements.

The results relate only to the tested specimens. This report shall not be reproduced except in full.
