UNIT 11: CURSO DE ACCESO PRESENT PERFECT (Pretérito

perfecto)

- Tiempo verbal rico en posibilidades expresivas. (HAVE/HAS + participio)


Puede expresar:
El inicio de una acción en el pasado, los efectos de esa acción en el presente
y la prolongación de dichos efectos en el futuro.
Ej.: The Bakers have lived in London since they got married.
since 2002/ for four years.

USOS DEL PRESENT PERFECT:

1. Acciones terminadas en un tiempo no determinado. No es importante


reflejar cuándo ocurrió la acción , solo que ocurrió.
He has written a very famous novel.

Mr. Bronson has lost his keys.

2. Para expresar duración de una acción que comenzó en el pasado pero


que se prolonga en el presente.

She has taught English for five years/since 2002.

My friend has not visited his parents for two months/since November.

Paco has lived in England since September/for 5 months.

He has been ill for a week.

He has worked for the bank of England since he got married/for 1


year.

Nobody has locked the door.

3. Para hablar de experiencias que se han vivido. No importa cuándo.

I have seen the Niagara falls before.

Have you visited the British museum?

FOR: Usado para decir cuánto tiempo dura una acción. Indica DURACIÓN.
Se puede traducir por : durante / desde hace.

I studied the guitar for three years.

I have studied the guitar for three years. ( I still study the guitar).
I have known her for a long time / for many years.

SINCE: Indica el comienzo de una acción. Punto de partida.


Se traduce por DESDE.
We have lived in London since December/ 1978/last month.

DURING: Se utiliza para decir cuándo ocurrió una acción, pero no indica
duración de la misma.
During the war, people were poor and hungry.

During the summer, I went to the swimming pool many times.


AGO: Siempre en Pasado simple . He came back one year ago.
