INSPECTION TOOLS
The camera inspection system developed
by Ecoprogetti makes the soldering process
easier and gives the opportunity to improve
the production output.
This system permits to detect the broken
cells before the soldering process.
Ecoprogetti’s camera inspection system
is able to detect the breakage of the solar
cells, cracks and chips. this system makes
the process more efficient and avoid time
wasting for the cell replacement after
the soldering. The damaged cells are
automatically rejected in a specific basket
inside the stringer machine.

ECOLAYUP R
ROBOTIC LAYUP SYSTEM
ECOLAYUP R is designed to simplify the high
efficiency module production.
The robot’s arm picks up the strings from
the stringer machine and places them on
the glass. The strings are positioned very
precisely thanks to the use of two cameras,
which allow an accurate alignment.
The strings are positioned on the glass by
the robot which turns them clockwise or
anticlockwise in order to allow the electrical
connection between the strings.
ECOLAYUP R can manage up to 2 high
efficiency stringer machines ETS2100,
reaching the capability of 125MW/year.

The buffer system stores up to 30 modules
for a temporary stockpile in the production
line.This machine uses “last in, first out”
concept and works autonomously: it is pro-
vided with a PLC and electrical control panel
for the configuration with the laminator.
Ecoprogetti’s buffers help to avoid bot-
tle-necks in the production and allow a con-

ECOTRIM A
FULLY AUTOMATIC TRIMMING STATION
ECOTRIM A is an automatic trimming
solution for edge cutting of the PV module.
The machine loads and centers the panel
from the long edge and trims simultenously
the four edges of the panel with 4 automatic
blades, removing the excess waste material
of the module after lamination. The cutting
is performed with high efficiency and a short
cycle time < 30sec. This solution is suitable
for standard glass-backsheet as well as

ECOSIL14
AUTOMATIC SILICONE DISPENSER
ECOSIL 14 is an automatic machine devel-
oped to put in automatic way an even and
correct amount of silicone or (optional) two
component glue in the frame that later will
be installed around the photovoltaic module.
The machine is composed by a load unit
that feeds the frames to the silicone station
that after applying the silicone on the frame
pushes it to the operator.
It is possible to select from the operator
panel a working condition that permits to
drill holes in the frames for humidity outlet
(optional). In this case the drilling is done au-
tomatically before pushing the frame to the
unload belt. The machine has a sensor that
reads the state of the unload station in order

ECOGLASS R is a fully automatic glass load-
ing system that picks up the glass of various
size and dimension from the glass pallet onto
the Transport system.
The robotic loading station is provided with 2
glasses pallet positions in order to never stop
the production process. The robot removes
automatically the protective paper between
the glasses and thanks to a vacuum sys-
tem the paper is drawn, grinded and stored
in a particular bin which guarantees an easy
waste management. After this operation, the
main robot automatically picks up the glass
and centers it on to the motorized loading
belts of the layup station. The capacity of the

LED BASED SOLAR CELL TESTER
LEDs with different wavelengths are used to
cover the complete spectrum from 400 nm to
1100 nm. This allows a nearly perfect match
with AM 1,5 which permits to obtain highly
accurate efficiency measurements.
The cell tester is loaded manually and the
cells are contacted by a dedicate probe
mask to obtain the IV measurement during
the light pulse. The unit is designed to test
156x156 mm or 156,75x156,75 mm solar
