' have been Keyan's supervisor since she was employed at the Ontario Science Centre, as a Recreational Programs Assistant (RPA), in 2015. Keyan has excelled inthis leadership role and continues to make great contributions as a science communicator and mentor. Recreational Programs Assistants at Summer Camp are responsible for coordinating daily Camp activities including the delivery of science-themed programming to young audiences safely and effectively, in afun and engaging manner. Our RPAs must also act as positive role ‘models and mentors for all program participants as well as the youth volunteers who assist with the camp programs throughout the summer. Partof the RPA role also includes coordinating Sleepover events (for up to 600 participants) during the winter manths and running Birthday Parties on weekends throughout the school year. RPAs must be able to work independently, lead large groups of individuals ofall ages and abilities and coordinate many aspects of these programs simultaneously. They must also possess strong customer care skills and strive to provide positive and memorable ‘experiences to all program participants. She Js a mature and responsible individual who takes initiative and leads with conviction and confidence. She fulflls her responsibilities eagerly and completes her duties diligently and efficiently. She displays a willingness to try new and dificult things, regulatly, and doesn’t hesitate to go above and beyond whenever required. Keyan consistently looks for ways to grow and improve as an Individual and in her leadership role and as such, seeks feedback regularly, and Is not afraid to ask for assistance when needed. She is a great role model due to her incredible work ethic, strong decision-making abilities, positive attitude and ability to remain calm in stressful environments/situations.
