Opening of VinFast Apprenticeship Training Centre

After almost a year preparing facilities, equipment and
training materials, VinFast opened the VinFast Appren-
ticeship Training Centre on September 10th, 2018. This
centre aims to train technicians for industrial production,
with courses including: Technician Training (Mechatron-
ics and Industrial Mechanic) and Production Training
(VinFast Excellent System, Simulated Work Environment,
Learning Factory and Pilot Training).
The opening ceremony of the first Technician Training
Course for Mechatronics and Industrial Mechanic was
also held on September 10th. The teaching follows Ger-
man standards, combining 40% theoretical and 60%
practical training. The programme will finish in two and
a half years, after which graduates will be certified to the
standards of the Association of German Chambers of
Commerce and Industry. They will also have the opportu-
nity to work in the manufacture, design and maintenance
units in VinFast or at the factories of VinFast’s partners in
Supplier Park.
Besides representatives from VinFast, the ceremony wel-
comed Mrs. Frauke Schmitz-Bauerdick from the German
Trade and Investment Organisation, Mr. Marko Walde
from the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry
in Vietnam, as well as representatives of VinFast’s part-
ners: DMG_MORI, HCE, Tan Phat, Tan The Ky, FESTO and
German Eckert School International.
On the occasion, the training centre also received a cer-
tificate of conformity to the parallel training model of the
German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, reaffirm-
ing Vin Fast’s efforts in its ‘To The World’ mission.

Paris Motor Show 2018:
VinFast brings new cars home to Paris for the debut
VinFast - the first ever Vietnamese car
manufacturer - has taken the wraps off
two new sedan and SUV models at the
on-going Paris Motor Show 2018 on Oc-
tober 3rd.
The interiors and engines of VinFast’s
sedan and SUV models were kept un-
der wraps until the last minute and
promised to bring surprises. After the
performance “To the World”, VinFast’s
launching event welcomed Miss Viet-
nam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy and football star
David Beckham to the stage. Beckham
was impressed as he said: “I’ve always
been a car fanatic, and it’s a thrill to be
here in Paris to celebrate the arrival of a
new carmaker on the global stage.”
The appearance of VinFast at Paris Mo-
tor Show 2018 astounded professionals
in the industry and international media.
Hundreds of articles have been written
about the vehicles which have been de-
veloped in just over 365 days. VinFast
also became the first winner of the “A
Star is Born” trophy awarded by AUTO-
BEST to recognise automobiles avail-
able on the European market.
The two VinFast cars introduced at the
event – LUX A2.0 Sedan and LUX SA2.0
SUV – were described as having the dis-
tinguished Italian design from Pininfari-
na, operating with German technology
from BMW and Vietnamese spirit. They
were developed following a nationwide
public vote in which 62,000 Vietnam-
ese participated, allowing the public to
choose their favourite designs from a
range of options.
Deliveries of the first VinFast cars will
commence in Vietnam in just under 12
months, with plans to export to interna-
tional markets in the future.

VinFast Meets the World

VinFast and its two new car models have been making
waves across the world, and the international press
have taken note.
Car Design News (UK): “The extensive design input
from veteran Italian design houses has so far imbued
VinFast with a maturity of aesthetic that many new
start-ups don’t really have.”
Carbuzz (USA): “We think the Vietnamese voters
made the right decision because both cars look
fabulous.”
Autoexpress (UK): “Overall, the LUX A2.0 and LUX
SA2.0 feature contemporary looks. The A2.0 is a
traditional four-door saloon that has a long bonnet,
set-back cabin and raked rear screen to give it a
sporty feel.”
CNET (USA): “While VinFast’s cars will be built in
Vietnam, and the majority of its sales efforts will focus
there, VinFast has expansion on its mind. To that end,
it’s conducting crash tests to not only Vietnam’s stan-
dards, but Europe’s, as well.”
Top Gear (UK): The LUX A2.0 Sedan is ‘defined by
exceptionally balanced and harmonious proportions.
That translates as long flowing lines, chrome accents
and minimalist headlights to create a sleek and exec-
utive look. There’s also the LUX SA2.0 SUV, which beefs
up the design with a ‘muscular and robust’ appear-
ance, i.e. a chunky grille, sporty additions and matte
black and chrome highlights.”
CNBC (USA): “If VinFast can prove itself out, the com-
pany could look at even more challenging opportuni-
ties, such as Europe and, perhaps, even the U.S.”
