Chain Vs Belt Bucket Elevator

The traditional chain bucket elevators are limited because of:

- Uses heavy chain and large fabricated buckets
- Limited number of buckets per meter
- Maximum speed is 1.3 m/s with restrict capacity
- Chain and sprockets wear quickly
- High maintenance and replacement costs
- High capacity required very large elevator construction

Advantages of Belt bucket elevator:

- Uses 1 to 4 rows of closely spaced heavy duty seamless steel buckets
- Designed steel cord high temperature elevator belt.
- Capable of belt speed up to 2.3 m/s
- Achieve far greater capabilities per case size then chain (up to double times)
- Saves 33% of components costs
- Much lower capital investment
- Belt wear less than chain
- Reduced maintenance and spares cost
- Reduces down time and maintenance costs
- Throughputs up to 1300 TPH and over

Belt bucket elevator is designed for transporting vertically for granular, powder and small
block of grinding suction smaller dispersing shape material. It adopts belt as the traction
component ,can reach to max.40 meters . Capacity could be approx. 4~238m3/h. The
vertical belt bucket elevator is widely used in mining , metallurgy , chemicals , power plant

,agriculture and quar ry industries, etc.
