IRATA Course Joining Instructions

Course fees:
A one week course is £549.00 + vat and a three day revalidation course is £449.00 + vat.

A £100 +vat deposit or a purchase order number is required to receive your joining instructions and secure you
place.

If paying by cash or cheque a full settlement is required at least one week before the course, credit card
payments can be made on line or over the phone.

Refunds will not be given for no shows or late cancellations.

Cancellations must be received within one week before the relevant start date, later cancellations will be
charged for at the full rate.
All deposits are non refundable, however in the unlikely event of a course being cancelled full payment will be
refunded.

Yarmouth, Norfolk. NR31 0LS

By Train: mainline station to Norwich and then change for a local train to Great Yarmouth.

Health Requirements:
Rope Access is physically demanding and strenuous; therefore a good level of health and fitness is required to
complete the training.

It is our recommendation that you have a medical check up from your GP prior to your course commencement
and the certificate to be presented on the first day.

However you can choose a medical self assessment which will be made available on the first day of the course.

What you need:

One passport size digital photograph with your name clearly indicated sent my email to the AID office:
beth@aidropeaccess.com.

If you require a copy of training notes prior to the course please inform us and a copy will be sent out
electronically on receipt of your deposit.

Our venue is outdoors and provides the most realistic conditions. We work in most weather conditions up to a
maximum of 25 mph wind speed.
So please bring with you adequate protective clothing such as gloves, wind proofs, fleece underclothing and
waterproof outer layers. Jeans are not recommended.

It is our policy for protective footwear to be worn whilst outside on the training tower.

We provide helmets and all rope access equipment.

Important!
If you are a current Level 1, 2 or 3 you must bring your up to date Irata Logbook, ID card and pre-
assessment sheet (if you have it). If your ticket has expired you must let us know in advance.

Expired technicians should not be working using rope access techniques.

To be assessed to Level 3 you will need to bring a level 3-application form signed by an Irata Member Company
or Irata Assessor.

Both existing and aspirant Level 3’s must have an in date First Aid certificate.
Note: If you do not bring these items you run the risk of not being assessed!!

Direct Entry candidates (Not available to UK Citizens) must allow at least four weeks from initial enquiry to
obtain Irata verification. The cost for Direct Entry verification is currently £100.00 plus VAT

Course Times:
Start time is Monday morning at 08:30 finishing on the first day at 17.30hrs thereafter times may be adjusted to
suit particular courses.

Our courses are run in a relaxed friendly way with safety at the top of the list of priorities.

The course end time is dependant on the assessment but is usually finished about 16:30 on Friday afternoon.

Where a bank holiday occurs the start day will be Tuesday with assessment held on Saturday.

Facilities:
Refreshments and lunch are provided and there are also various café’s on the estate.
