Job Description:
We have fantastic opportunities for hardworking, driven individuals to join the UKs leading parcel courier. You will have a
hands-on role, ensuring that all customer parcels are unloaded from vehicles, sorted through using industry leading
sortation equipment and sent back on their way for next day delivery across our clients network. You will be responsible for
ensuring a high level of quality and service and the ability to cope with the demands of a fast moving environment.
You will be required to work any five out of seven days, between the hours of 16:00 and 03:00. As such, your ability to be
flexible will be extremely important as is living within local distance of the site or having your own transport.

Duties and responsibilities:

To handle parcels within the specified parcel definition, either manually or mechanically as

directed by the Sort Controller, in line with company operating procedures.

To use the available equipment to complete security checks.

To ensure that available equipment is in full working order and report any faults if required.

To complete and check consignment notes accurately where appropriate.

To monitor and prevent damage to goods. To inform a supervisor where damage is

identified.

Where trained to use "man-riders" to assist in loading and unloading of parcels.

To monitor and prevent damage to vehicles and machinery. To inform site Sort

Controller where damage is identified.

To implement the Health and Safety policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working

environment.

To implement the Security Policy ensuring and maintaining a secure passage of goods for

the customer.

Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management or

supervisor.

Carry out cleaning duties as required on a scheduled basis.

1. Timely handling of parcels.


2. Low levels of loss through damage/theft/loss.
3.Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Induction
All potential workers must attend an unpaid induction for 2 hours during the evening,
the induction will include an assessment on health safety and the site operating
procedures
DBS Checks
All workers must be willing to undertake a DBS check at a cost of 25 after their first
shift
D & A drug and alcohol policy :
There is zero tolerance of drugs and alcohol on site

Each department has targets which will be explained to you by your trainer

Preparing for your interview


You will need to bring along the following documentation, if you havent already supplied
it:

In date Passport / Id card or Full Birth Certificate


Proof of NI NI card/ JC card ( stamped) P45, P60, P11D, Letter from the JC
Bank Details
Details of address for last 5 years
Reference or details for whom we can obtain a reference

Failure to provide the above documentation will mean you are turned away.

You must be prepared to stay wth the company for at least 1 hour
Street car parking is available outside the entrance to our office
Report to reception and they will send you to our office
The company will give you a pre-induction that contains all the details on the site
and working for our client.

SMOKING IS ONLY PERMITTED IN THE SMOKING SHELTER


PLEASE RESPECT OUR Office, ANYONE FOUND SPITTING, SMOKING, THROWING
RUBBISH WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE SITE.
