how the subject should be placed and the background should be managed. Told
them about the facts and the placement of subjects. They asked how would I place

zoom and requirement of wide angle with certain noise effects due to the crowd.
Then the panelist asked me about the projectile motion and how a projectile should
be fired to hit a target and some concepts of line of sight and parabolic motion. I
explained the whole physics with some formulas related to the subject. Then the
panelist asked me about the flag size ratio and ashok chakra, the pillar with the 4
lions and number of spokes on the chakra. Answered some of the questions but hot
fumbled on number of spokes and what they represent. The animals on the pillar
were also the point where I was not able to provide satisfactory answer so I said
sorry. Then the other panelist asked me an extempore related to price control on
petrol. 30 secs for thinking and about 2 mins to speak. Told her about the market
volatility and import issue with example of Syria and sanctions against Iran. Also told
her that diesel is still controlled as the fuel is used by logistics for various goods
including the agricultural produce. The time ended but she was quite satisfied with
the answer. The interview ended with the general question on which other IIMs I

PI- two panel were there..one was professor and one was corporate.
It was more discussion or point of view kind of conversation so I am just briefing it
up…
Question were related to work ex, company , why I switched from engineering to
marketing, my role, my long term goal, my political choice, what's happening in mp ,
election results, what's ur points of view In upcoming election and why, my hobbies,
my blog detail, at one point they were like what should we ask and I said anything
you want I will try to ans., Gdp, population (no), why young people are depressed,
some recent developments in company like ICICI ,Vijay Malya conundrum, what's
problem in education system and some situational question….and then they pointed
out my participation in Group exercise and how you manage to get whole group in

avoid any grilling kind of situation.

4. Asked me about import-export and what documents are required for export. I
mentioned that my work profile is inclined to sales and client relations, but told me

Topic: Comparison of agriculture sector in India and Usa, with Telangana as

sector, advanced machinery, less yield per hectare figures given.
It was a chaotic GD with 12 people. One person kept saying that we should allot 2
min to everone to speak, throughout. Some were repeating same points again.
Remaining were the one with good points. I spoke about contract farming,
horticulture, rythu bandhu scheme, itc e-chaupals so made 5 entries throughout and
also contibuted in summarizing.

PI: 3 panelists- 1 male, 2 females- all middle-aged

They had actually kept a timer of 10 minutes, took turns to ask individually and
began asking questions as soon as they asked me to sit.
1. Since work ex in sales & marketing, you must be interested in marketing in MBA
also? Why?What is the difference between the two
Gave my reason and while giving the difference was cross-questioned, saying that I
was not giving the key difference. (I tried adding more points and 2 of them nodded
but the 3rd female did not seem convinced)
2. Talk about latest marketing trends.
Did not understand what exactly she wanted, but spoke about digital marketing and
also mentioned that my job is more towards sales and client relations. Again, she did
not seem convinced.
3. Biggest competitors in the chemical trading sector for my company, turnover and
number of employees, how much market have we captured.
Explained this quite well.
4. What 3 things can you bring to our class that would make you a good MBA
student?
Gave 3 points, explaining briefly. Tried to link it to work ex so they ask me more but
they didn't yet.
5. I want to clean all windows of mumbai. How much would you charge for the job?
I was quiet for a few seconds because did not expect this at all. Tried to show some
reasoning by asking questions about time limit, worker restrictions, etc but they just
asked me to give a figure. (Did not give a good answer at all)
6. Challenge faced by you in workplace (as i had mentioned a customer case earlier)
7. Name 3 firms based out of india whose marketing impress you (or 3 marketing
agencies)
By based out, i understood that he meant foriegn firms and started with amazon but
he made indian firms so asked me if i understood the question. I started talked about

give other than cashbacks.

2 WAT sessions (1st-25 minutes, 2nd- 15 minutes (personal experience based))
1st topic: Is India participating in Indian Ocean region quad group of democratic
countries is a step towards alienation of neighbors like China.
2nd- Asked about any team experience where the members did not like one another,
what was your role and how you handled the situation.

PI was stressful
Asked me about the meaning of my name and then pointed out that the meaning is
not reflected in the acads. I justified a bit and then they changed the question before
I completed my answer. Asked about my political affiliation, whether I am centre
leftist or rightist person. Told that I am centre leftist, then they said that leftist
idealogy is a failure, USSR got divided on that basis, then I justified that it was more
due to the policies of stalin and lenin and not the leftist mentality. Then asked me
whether Pakistan is centre or leftist or rightist party right now, could not counter that
so I said it would not be so simple to say that because all the policies of Pakistan is
not entirely in the hands of government but in the hands of army. Then they grilled
me about the right of army in our country then how you can say that army has no say
in policy making, then I said that they don't have say in day to day policy making and
direct control over foreign and trade policy also. The other member who remained
quite till now asked me about some 1st year acads which I was not able to answer
and he questioned me whether I did mechanical or not. Then I said that the
questions were more into first year subjects of chemistry then mechanical, so then
they asked me Otto cycle and why it not practical. Told them the cycle contains
reversible isentropic processes which can't be realised in true sense. Then they said
ok we are done.
In all the answers I was not given time to answer completely.
At last they asked me other places I have a call from. Told all the IIMs I have call
from. They said then Kozhikode is the best isn't it. I said as aspirant it will not be wise
for me to categorise the IIMs. All the institutions are great and it would be an honour
to join any one them.

Scmhrd interview

complete it and duration was half an hour. Topic was “the trend of “follow your
passion” is just another mysterious effect where the person believes following this
path, all his problems can be solved but hr ends up becoming something different.

Topic was quite tricky and i didnt get the complete essence in the first place

Second wat was picture representation

Group exercise: again consisted of two rounds. First was 10 minutes gd on “are US
Gun laws justified” and in second group exercise, we were shown a video where an
young child is completely obsessed with facebook and is quite unhappy with his
personal life and often neglects the real things. Topic was interesting and easy and
there were only 6 people so everyone was able to put forward their points.

Personal interview: P1: are you currently working or left the job.
P2: describe the nature of your work
P1: what valuable role your project plays in accenture.
P2: what were your achievements during your professional life

you were onshore.
P1: did you visit any places in london
P2: then started reviewing my profile so some basic questions on gwalior and
indore.
P1: what was your favourite topic during engineering and which one was the kost
challenging for you ( they didnt ask any question related to those topics)
P2: so you love trekking ( i mentioned it as my hobby), where did you go for your
recent trek
Then they gave a small case study where i was working for an NGO and have a
team of 65 members. a natural calamity has occured in five different places and
each place requires a different number of volunteers who can work at only one place
at a time. The probability of success was also different for all the places. Being the
team leader i had to select three out of those five places. I believe They were just
checking the decision making and seemed to be convinced with my answer.

2. Essay (20 mins) : E-commerce: excessive discounts being too dangerous
(something like that)
*GD*: Discussion on the #MeToo movement and it's impact.
*PI*: Quite different for everyone in the group. Started with the general tell me about
yourself question. And then 3 news that you can recall and questions related to that.
Then some questions related to your academics for freshers and on work ex for
experienced people.
But later, they changed it and were asking questions on whatever you're saying. So a
basic tell me about yourself and then you're the one guiding the entire thing which
probably turned out to be a good thing for the people who went in later.
