3rd July 2013 As per the Activity Chart, finalized by the Chairman of the
Board, the Test Admit Cards, which were to be generated
contemporaneously with computerised allocation of roll
numbers and examination centers to the students and should
have been uploaded on 30th June, 2013 itself.
6th July 2013 D.G Received complaint regarding gross irregularities and
unfair means in the conduct of examination
7th July 2013 Date of Examination, Acting upon the said complaint and the
reports appearing in the local newspapers about the conspiracy
hatched for resorting to unfair means by large number of the
candidates with the assistance of candidates coming from
other States, the Indore Crime Branch moved into action and
arrested about 20 suspects.
7th July 2013 FIR Registered at Police Station, Rajendra Nagar, Indore,
bearing Crime No.539/2013 mentioning about the
involvement of large number of candidates having indulged in
unfair means during the entrance examination
16th July 2013 Nitin Mahindra, Principal System Analyst and Ajay Kumar
Sen were interrogated by the Investigating Team of police and
later arrested
18th July 2013 Following the arrest of the abovesaid two officers, during
investigation, the complicity of one C.K. Mishra, Assistant
Programmer of the Board was also arrested
20th July 2013 Board receives list of 317 candidates as a beneficiary of
conspiracy

13th & 17th August 2013 Communication regarding roll allotment Logic sent to Board
by crime branch
26th August 2013 Considering the gravity and seriousness of the offence and
involvement of resourceful persons in the commission of
crime, the State Government entrusted the investigation of the
said case to the Special Task Force (STF)
27th August 2013 The Board furnished Information to Crime Branch in response
to its letter dated 17th August, 2013
6th September 2013 Computer Experts Committee to examine the records and
submit its opinion and recommendation. constituted by Board
7th September 2013 First Committee meeting convened
-Initial Scrutiny found mismatch of 30195 out of 40086
candidate in allocation of Roll No. Including of 49 rejected
candidates
27th September 2013 The Board vide letter informed that the mismatch is limited to
876 candidates. On the same day Dr. Pankaj Tiwari,
Controller/Director of Board arrested by investigating

9th October 2013 (MPPEB) Board Cancelled entrance examination result of 345
Students
8th October 2013 Committee of Joint Controllers convened
-reports and opinion were placed before the Chairman of the
Board with recommendation to initiate action against 345
identified candidates. The Chairperson concurred with the said
 proposal submitted by the Director and issued directions to
proceed in the matter accordingly.
9th October 2013 On the Direction of Chairman, Director issued an order
cancelling the entrance examination results of 345 candidates
15th November 2013 Committee found that Roll No. of 701 Candidates were
involved.
19th November 2013 Executive Committee of Board not only approved the entire
action but ratified the same thus, upholding the cancellation of
entrance examination results of 345 candidates identified by
the Committee.
22nd November 2013 Board Receives list of another 92 candidates involved in the
conspiracy from STF ho were allegedly involved in the
commission of the crime registered against them.
30th November 2013 After due analysis and consideration, Committee of Joint
Controllers opined that action must be taken against additional
70 candidates
6th December 2013 (MPPEB) Board Cancelled entrance examination result of 70
Students
28th December 2013 Joint Controller (Exam) moved a proposal to blacklist the
examination centers where unfair mean were reported by the
candidates
1st February 2014 Controller (Exam) issued order to blacklist the name of
examination centers
15th April 2014 Board issued an order cancelling the entrance examination
results of additional 272 candidates
6th May 2014 Board issued an order cancelling the entrance examination
results of additional 47 candidates
5th November 2014 In the matter of Glenn Paul & anr vs The State Of Madhya
Pradesh HC appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT)
consisting of (a) former High Court Judge as Chairman of SIT;
 (b) former IPS Officer not below the rank of Additional
Director General of Police having indepth experience of
investigation; and (c) former experienced I.T. professional. to
supervise the investigation of all criminal case concerning
PMT-Vyapam
