ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM

Steering wheel angle sensor 38C


Unlock the air bag computer.

Use the same procedure as for locking.

Confirm the VP007 Computer locking line. The state


ET073 Computer locked by tool should no longer be
active. The indicator light on the instrument panel
should go out.

Front wheel speed sensor 38C
Remove the connector from the support.
TIGHTENING TORQUE (in daNm)
Disconnect the wheel sensor connector.
Sensor mounting bolt 0.8 ± 0.2

The Target/Sensor gap must be between 0.44 mm and


2.14 mm.

Remove the sensor.

REFITTING

REMOVAL Coat the sensor with multifunction grease

Remove: Part number: 77 01 422 308.

of shims.

NOTE: It is vital to make sure that the connectors


are perfectly connected to prevent risk of
breakdowns.

The sensor must be fitted manually. Do not knock it


during installation.

Do not hold or pull the sensor wiring.
