A. Teachers come to teach Gulliver their language and after a month he can speak it. Gulliver learns that the 
island is called Lilliput and the island north of Lilliput is called Blefuscu. The people of Blefuscu are enemies of 
Lilliput. Three weeks pass and a guard removes the cords on Gulliver’s legs. He’s finally free to walk around 
Lilliput. 

B. Gulliver swims to an island and falls asleep on the ground. When he wakes up, he can’t move. Cords are tying
him to the ground and small men are shooting arrows at him. They’re speaking a strange language. The men carry
Gulliver to an ancient temple and tie him to the door. The King of the island comes to talk to Gulliver but he 
doesn’t understand Gulliver’s language. 

C. Gulliver doesn’t want to do this and the King is angry. A long time passes and one day, there’s a fire in the 
palace. Gulliver pours water into the Queen’s room to extinguish the fire. The Queen is wet and the King decides 
to punish Gulliver. 

D. Gulliver is inside a box. While Gulliver is sleeping, a giant bird carries his box into the air, but it falls into the 
sea. Finally, the sailors on an English ship see Gulliver and take him home to England. 

E. He wants to remove his eyes, but Gulliver escapes to Blefuscu. The people of Blefuscu are kind to Gulliver 
but he wants to go home. A few days later, Gulliver sees a boat in the sea and decides to leave Blefuscu. 

F. A few days later, the farmer takes Gulliver to the town. People pay the farmer to see Gulliver sing and dance. 
Gulliver is very unhappy. The Queen of Benbingal sees Gulliver and buys him from the farmer. Gimbella stays at 
the palace to take care of him. One day, the Queen takes Gulliver on holiday to a palace near the sea. 

G. Gulliver is at sea for six days. Then he sees an island and the boat stops there. The island is called Benbingal, 
and the people there are giants. A farmer takes Gulliver to his house. The farmer’s daughter, Gimbella, takes care 
of Gulliver and teaches him her language. 

H. One day, soldiers from Blefuscu prepare to attack Lilliput. Gulliver thinks of a plan to stop the war. He walks 
across the sea to Blefuscu and pulls all their warships to Lilliput. The King tells Gulliver to bring the men and 
women of Blefuscu to Lilliput to be the King’s servants. 
I. Doctor Lemuel Gulliver lives in London with his wife, Mary, and his two children. Many of his patients are 
poor and can’t afford to pay him, so he decides to accept a job on a ship. The ship begins its journey to the East 
Indies. One day, there’s a storm and the ship hits a rock. Gulliver and the sailors climb into a boat, but the storm 
is very bad and they fall into the sea.
