Installation instructions for NETWORK licenses v2014.p

The files mentioned in these instructions, required to install our

software, are located in the 'Installation in English' directory of
the CYPE programs installation DVD (or the directory where the
installation file of the 'complete version' has been downloaded from
our website).

1.The network hardlock, license codes indicated in step 2 (if they

are required) and the Server for network hardlocks indicated in
step 4 must be installed on the same computer. This computer does
not have to be a network server. CYPE programs can be installed on
any computers of the network, including the computer at which the
hardlock is going to be connected.

2.License key installation (only if the user has received

installation codes)

If you have received codes for your license hardlock, these will have
been sent by e-mail from CYPE. This e-mail has two files attached;
one with 'clv' format and the other with 'rtf' format. The name of
the two files coincides with your license number. If you have several
licenses, please make sure the name of the files coincides with the
license number of the hardlock which is connected to or is going to
be connected to the computer.

The file with 'clv' format contains the codes of your license, which
will be processed by CYPE programs if copied to the 'CYPE Ingenieros'
directory of the hard disk drive where the Server for network
hardlocks is going to be installed (step 4) and where the hardlock is
going to be connected. If no CYPE programs (the actual program or the
Server for network hardlocks) are installed, the 'CYPE Ingenieros'
directory will not exist. In this case, copy the 'clv' file to the
'CYPE Ingenieros' directory after having installed the Server for
network licenses (step 4).

The file with 'rtf' format is only useful if you have any problems
copying the 'clv' file. The 'rtf' file can be read by a text
processor and contains the license codes so they may be installed
manually (typing them in one by one). To introduce the codes using
the 'rtf' file, execute the file: 'Install Introduction of
authorisation codes.exe'. Follow the indicated instructions and, once
the program has been installed, open it to introduce the codes which
have been provided.

3.User license lock connection to the parallel port (only if the user
license hardlock is for a parallel port)

Connect the parallel port hardlock. Please recall that the network
hardlock, the license codes (if they exist) and the Server for
network hardlocks indicated in step 4, must all be installed on the
same computer.

4.Network license hardlock server installation

Check that the TCP/IP protocol is installed on all the computers
using the program and where the hardlock is connected or is going to
be connected.

Execute the file: 'Install Server for network hardlocks.exe' at the

computer where the hardlock is connected or is going to be connected.

Upon concluding the installation, the Server for network hardlocks

will execute itself automatically. The dialogue box 'Hardlock Server'
can then be minimised (not closed). If the license hardlock is a USB
hardlock, it should not have been connected yet and the Server for
network hardlocks will display an error message indicating it cannot
find the license hardlock or it has not been able to start. Do not
worry. Accept the error message and, now, connect the USB hardlock.
Having done so, execute the Server for network hardlocks by selecting
the shortcut icon created on the computer Desktop or within the menu
'All programs > CYPE Ingenieros Version...' which can be executed
using the Windows 'Start' key (the location of the shortcut icon will
depend on the options you have selected during the installation
process).

5.Installation of CYPE programs

Installation of all the programs or individual programs can be done

on any computer connected to the network of the computer to which the
hardlock is connected, including that computer itself.

If you wish to install the complete program package, double click on

the 'Install CYPE 2014 (English).exe' file. If you wish to install an
individual program, access the 'Install individual programs'
directory and double click on the installation file of the
corresponding program.

If your license contains connections to CAD programs, they may be

installed by accessing the 'Install connections with CAD programs'
directory, and then opening the installation file of the
corresponding connection. These connections are not jointly installed
with the complete package.

If your license contains Arquimedes Server (multiple user work in

Arquimedes), it may be installed by opening 'Install Arquimedes' data
base server.exe' at the computer from which access to the remote
databases of Arquimedes will be controlled. The database server is
not jointly installed with the complete package.
