Assignment Title: Q1 End-of-Unit Social Issue.

Student Writing Goal: My goal is to be better at writing and English. I also want to pass this class with good grades,
minimum a “B”.

Instructions:

1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).

2) Complete this reflection sheet.
Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
3) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose was to research and understand an issue and to do an essay. We had to explain what was about
my topic and in what side I am and why, the pros and cons of the issue. Also, giving like a solution about my
issue and what the government should do about it.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
Well I did not have the best score but I know I can do it better because my mistakes were my way to write
and I am being better at my writing. I am learning and changing the way how I do my essays and
assignments.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
In my researching part I look for the best information that I could to support all the comments that I gave.
“This is a problem that affects all teenagers, girls and boys” Here I am giving a point that it DOES AFFECT
people and that we have to do something to stop it.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I do revise this assignment because I commit a mistake in my writing. I write some word the wrong way and
now I changed it.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In my next writing assignment I will write properly and I will use understanding words that will help me to
clarify what I am talking about.
 To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
That I was able to write more, my skills get better and I learn in how to do a good research and with all the
information I did a good essay.
