Assignment Title: Q1 End Of Unit: Social Issue Essay

Student Writing Goal: Make less typing errors. And reread my work and ask others to peer review my work. Put a lot
of work into my essay and hit every point.

1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

To pick a topic off our rubric and research and find the information we can on a social issue and convince the
writer if you or on the defense or offside. Find the pros and cons of that topic.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I performed relatively well I was missing I couple of point that were meant to be made. And needed more
arguing paragraphs.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I would say I did very well when I started the argumentative essay. I feel like my message came across to the
reader.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I chose to revise the writing assignment so I can learn from my tiny mistakes and look over my paper myself
and read it out loud.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will make less typing errors and spell check everything. Ask my peers and family to look over my paper so
they can edit and check it.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I don’t think succeeded or achieved much on my previous stated goals. I didn’t meet them to my full
potential, I could’ve put more effort in my essay.
