Assignment Title: Social Issue Paper

Student Writing Goal: My student writing goal is to get my writing to achieve my points straight and use proper
vocabulary and grammar to make my sentences understandable. By practicing writing I will get better at what words
to use.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
What was the purpose of this writing assignment?
The purpose of my writing is to provide information of mental health and be taken seriously because it is
becoming a problem in school, society, and even in families.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I perform well and did not expect myself to get a good expectation off of it. Other than that i felt like my
paper was understandable towards mental health. The information was had great support from others that
revised it.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I did well on explaining what mental health is and when it is developed. As for myself, I believe I have mental
disorders such as anxiety and more (personal). It just affects that in my point of view it should be taken
seriously.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I have to go 50-50 on this but I did skim read it and try to read the words out loud. That advice help me a lot
especially when writing my papers because when you read them out loud you tend to tell yourself if that
sounds right.
What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will do better at revising my work and take my time to discover any mistakes I've made into my paper. I will
ask others around me if it sounds right, interesting, and if there’s any mistakes. Having the paper read by
another person is helpful too.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
In my success, my previous stated goal was to state my topic to its meaning and to stay on track what I am
talking about in my paper even if it is an argument essay.
