Condolence Letter Regarding Terrorism act in Sri Lanka

H.E. Mr. Dharshana M. Perera

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia and to the ASEAN
Embassy of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Jakarta

Namo Sanghyang Adi Buddhaya,

Namo Buddhaya, Bodhisattvaya, Mahasattwaya

Your Excellency,
We, the whole member of Konferensi Agung Sangha Indonesia (Great Indonesia Buddhist
Sangha Council), would like to express our deepest condolence regarding what happened last
Easter, 21st April 2019, as the whole people of Indonesia also would. The explosion destroyed
some churches along with some hotels. Casualties rise, be it the injured or the deceased. Even
more are the people who grieves – those losing their friends and families, and those who grieves
simply because we are human beings.
KASI is deeply sorry for all the lost inflicted on anyone or any party involved in the act. We
hope that those who lost their lives would be born again in better realms, and those who lost
would quickly recover and be able to keep on living, unhindered by this act of terror. How
wonderful it will be if this kind of action would never to happen again.

Jakarta, 24 April 2019

Bhadraruci, Bhiksu
General Secretary of Konferensi Agung Sangha Indonesia
