Letter of Justification

I am writing this letter of justification to obtain approval for a second monitor for the
planning/scheduling group to be installed in our areas. The purpose of the installation of a second
monitor is to improve our ability to perform our jobs more productively, efficiently, and effectively
improve our accuracy.

As you are aware, our job functions requires us to use multiple SAP transactions and spreadsheets to
perform our responsibilities. For example, as a planner I have four SAP transactions fixed on MD04,
ZPPmissing, COOIS, and ZSD_shipments that we are constantly toggling through and comparing them to
two spreadsheets (Missing parts sheet, shipment list sheet) that we run as a daily task. Routinely, we
are locked up in a process on those screens that we don’t want to escape. After escaping we would have
to re-run the process which is time consuming when interrupted with an email/phone call, or walkup.

Now that we are tasked with reviewing and releasing of the model I.D’s, we will have more screens that
require transfer information from one screen to the next. Adding monitors will improve our accuracy on
this information transfer. Also, in doing this it will reduce the frustration levels of performing the job.
