Leadership traits appear on screen in flashes

“What does the words mean to you? Maybe skills you have. Or skills you’re working on. One thing that is
clear is that all these traits are related to one another through one word. Leadership.”

“When looking at what it takes to be a leader one must look inward. Leadership is a lot of things but
most importantly it is a skill that requires introspection. Good leadership is showing a group how to be
successful, great leadership is enabling a group to be successful on their own.”

Frames of leaders in different aspects of culture

“Different leaders have different responsibilities. Whether it being a leader on the football team and
leading a comeback, to leading a religious community in spiritual enlightenment, to leading a business to
profitability. Leadership can also be smaller than that. Something like leading your patrol on a campout
as a Boy Scout or shift manager at your local fast food restaurant. One thing that all these people know
how to do is get the best out of the people they are with.”

Responsibilities of a leader

“There are many different things that complete the makeup of a leader. A leader must be able to accept
responsibility but also be able to delegate those responsibilities effectively. A leader is accountable,
honest, can inspire others, creative and so many other things. But most importantly a leader is willing to
sacrifice to advance the goals of the group.”

What makes a leader?

1. Integrity
2. Confidence
3. Commitment
4. Problem solver
5. Accountability
6. The ability to empower and delegate
7. Empathy
8. Innovation

“While a leader may not be all these things and may be others instead, a leader knows how to adapt
around their weaknesses and fight to approve it.”
