Colonial Fair Project Directions
Colonial Fair Project Directions
Parents:
Throughout the course of this unit students have worked on several
assignments, learning the comparison between the past and present. The
class has focused primarily on the colonial era and what children in this time
wore, what their schools were like and the types of games they played. In
this trifold project students must use all their work from the unit (labeling
worksheet, self-portrait labeled worksheet, written paragraph, Venn diagram
and the QR code/link provided from their video) on the left and right sides of
the trifold. Following this, students will use the center fold to create two
distinct images. The top half must include: hand drawn image of a colonial
child dressed in appropriate clothing, playing a time appropriate game in
front of their school that goes with their era. The bottom half must include:
hand drawn image of the student in appropriate clothing, playing a time
appropriate game in front of their school. Parents are invited to walk
throughout the classroom and view all students projects and hear about their
images.
