Biting Policy

Procedure

When biting occurs, there are two side to do.


- Bitten
1. The child that have been bitten will be aid first and assure comforted.
2. The bite will be washed and clean with antiseptic wipe.
3. Info the parents (explain the situation).
4. Help the child that was bitten why it occurs and how to deal with these
situations.
5. Write down the incident. (Time, where, when, and how)
- Bit
1. Separated with other children.
2. Explain why biting is not good “NO” “NO BITING” “DO NOT BITE” “NOT BITE”
Make sure to tell the action is unkind and the child been bitten are upset.
3. Info the parents (explain the situation).
4. Write down the incident. (Time, where, when, and how)

If the biting continues


Help prevent any biting incident
Observed the child in classroom (Communication, teething, frustration, and play time)
Child will be given positive attention and approval for positive behaviors.
