My technology project, a video making assignment for a guitar class, is meant to reflect
the kind of learning that occurs in many young guitarists. A guitar class is difficult in public
school because of the variety in ability level. Many students are picking up the instrument for the
first time, and some are experienced due to lessons or online resources. In order to make the
instruction relevant to each student, it requires some adaptation. This technology project can
happen at many skill levels, and is relevant to how many students learn guitar (on their own, at
home with YouTube). The goal is for them to create an instructional video for a specific
audience (skill level, age, etc.). The video must be instructing something that is at their skill
level, this way the project can be adapted to every student in the classroom easily.
