Title: Summer 2004

PART A. COMMENTS: COURSE EVALUATION

It was a good idea to separate mycology and parasitology. Subject was organized well.

For such a short amount of time material was presented in a fair and interesting way.
Material was difficult but was well presented.

Course has the potential to be fine and very satisfactory.

I liked having the two topics at one time.

A more useful book would be helpful.

Even though his classes are the most difficult, they force me to learn the material and
retain the information. As much as I have to study for his course, I know that it will help
me to be a better medical technologist.

The lecture was almost word for word from the textbook and didn’t really add anything
you couldn’t get from reading. The exams were fine, and I do think it is good for us to
have to write, but it would be nice to see the first exam before we take the second exam
so we can try to improve.

PART B. COMMENTS: INSTRUCTOR EVALUATION

Life cycles could be made larger next time. Seeing exams would be greatly appreciated.

Very good and somewhat teacher that could be difficult at times with students questions
and opinions. He was fair and understanding to a point of such a short amount of time
and with the amount of time.

Excellent presentation of lectures.

Instructor is belligerent, incaring and indifferent to student’s needs, wants and abilities.
He is inflexible, degrading and very difficult to understand. He does not listen to
students’ wishes, feel it is important to return exams for the students’ review and is a very
poor instructor, with no real direction in his teaching.

Powerpoints were helpful but it would be nice to have them available on D2L because
some were too small to read.

It was nice having the notes given to you.

Don’t tell us that you don’t like mycology-it is discouraging!

A little less talking would be nice. Sort of on the dry side, less just reading the slides
would be nice, overall though fine job presenting.
