Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our Music Department tour is quickly approaching! We are departing on Sunday, May 5th for
Edmonton, AB and will be returning to Moose Jaw on Wednesday, May 8th.
Please be sure to bring only essential items in your luggage as space will fill up quickly. Luggage
space will be at a premium as band students will also need to bring their instruments as well as
some percussion equipment.
Items you will need:
-Bag lunch on the way to Edmonton
-Spending money: you will be required to purchase t lunches and one supper. All other meals
and planned activities are included.
-Your music! Please bring a pencil to all clinics.
-Water bottle would be a great idea as you will be working for longer than our normal class
time and we don’t want to waste time running for water.
-Clothing:
-casual clothing is fine for clinics
-Appropriate attire for swimming
-Black clothes with tour shirt for performance
-nicer dress for Dinner theatre supper/show
-Homework: You will need to have your homework completed for class when we return. Mrs.
Trusty, Mrs. Lewis and Mr. Deans are chaperones on the trip and will be available for help with
homework during down times as well.
Please remind yourself of our school beliefs and how they apply on this trip:
• We will show respect for ourselves, each other, and our environment
• We will accept the responsibility to be actively involved and committed to developing a positive and meaningful
educational environment.
• We will take pride in ourselves, our work, and celebrate our successes.
• We will become lifelong learners capable of adapting to the ever-changing needs of society.
• We will endeavour to have all students learn to the maximum of their potential as they develop a sense of purpose
and commitment in their lives.
• We believe all students are in control of the following: their attitude; their actions; their responses.
With that in mind-all students will follow school rules at all times on this trip. Students who act
in ways that are uncooperative or defiant will have privileges removed and may face suspensions
or further disciplinary actions.
