Dear Music Parents,

The year is quickly coming to a close and we would like to invite you to our year end
concert on Tuesday, June 19th @ 7pm in our auditorium. The concert will feature all Peacock
music groups and will be a showcase of the growth we’ve had this year. As this is part of the
learning process, students are expected to attend unless there are extenuating circumstances that
should be cleared with me.
Band students should note that instruments will be returned after the concert and they will
not have access to them until September. Prairie South School Division will again be collecting
a fee for band of $100 that can be paid in full or split into two payments due June 15th and the
end of October. This fee is for any student that does not own their own instrument. If you have
concerns about this fee, please speak to me so we can have instruments ordered in June and
ready to go for September. Cheques for the band fee should be made to Prairie South School
Division.
Please also consider the many music camps offered this summer. They provide a great
opportunity for enrichment and allow your student to grow tremendously in a short period of
time. Info about camps are available through Saskatchewan Band Association and Summer
School for the Solo Voice.
