ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I acknowledge my deep sense of gratitude to my guide Ms. Navdeep kaur
Have proved to be much valuable assets to me. It is only his kind and liberal assistance,
generous, spirited and mature guidance that have made it possible for me to complete this
research study. He went with me from home to home to do the survey on child labor despite his
busy schedule. He left no gap in providing me valuable suggestions. Thank is too small word to
express my feelings. I extend my whole hearted gratitude for his extraordinary co-operation.

I also would like to thank my family for keeping me motivated to do this research work and
providing me the assistance i required for doing this research on Child Labor.

Lastly, my deepest heartfelt thanks to the almighty GOD.

Introduction

What is Education?
Education is a process in which and by which the knowledge, characters and behavior of the
human being are shaped and molded. Education is lead to the enlightenment of mankind. Imam
Ghazali said that education is a process which enables an individual to distinguish between the
true and false, the good and bad, the right conduct and the evil doing.

Aristotle said a education is process of creation of sound mind in a sound body. Pestolozi said
education is a natural, progressive and systematic development of all the forces. It distinguishes
human being from other creations. The process of education is not only self- realization of the
individual but it is also to bring into action the potential in man.

Meaning of Education
The "education" has been derived from Latin words "Educare, Education of Educare."
Educatwrn" and Educare" means to train, to bring and to nourish' while educare' `means to lead
out', so we can say that education is to bring up, to developing and shaping up the individual
talent and his inner potentialities.
REVIEW OF LITERATURE
The education system in India has savored a special bond between the teacher and the pupil since
Time unknown. In fact India was the country to have established what we know as the Gurukul
system of education and „0‟ the basic of Mathematics education was invented by Aryabhatta an
Indian.
In order to address the purposes outlined by the researcher, the information from previous
research is needed to provide direction for the concepts, relationships and instruments to be
included in the study. So the researcher reviewed related researches of Ph.D. and M.Phil. From
different universities. The researcher also reviewed mathematical references, research paper on
mathematics education and software, attitude towards teaching and learning, new trends, attitude
towards female education, opportunities of females in mathematics education. By reviewing the
related researches and literature, the researcher has finalized the studies on the title. Impact of
New Trends of Teaching Learning Process in Mathematics towards the Competitiveness of
Female Students at Higher Secondary Schools in Mumbai.

1. Alan B. Henkin, (2009) - “Urban Teacher Commitment Exploring Associations with

Organizational Conflict, Support for Innovation and Participation”
This study explores relationship between teacher‟s organizational commitment and interpersonal
conflict, participation activities beyond the classroom and innovations in schools. Potential
relationship among study variables are suggested in research that views affective commitment as
a proxy measure for decisions to leave the school. Increments in experience are negative
associated with organizational commitment. Higher levels of interpersonal conflict are linked to
lower levels of organizational commitment. Participation in activities beyond the classroom is
marginally related to commitment where as support for innovation has a strong positive effect on
teachers commitment. The literature suggests the importance of high levels of commitment and
commitment norms in terms of the teachers work performance and the stability of the
professional workforce.

2. Reddy, (2000). Occupation is an important aspect in women’s life today. The

problems
and difficulties of working women fall into three categories: environmental, social and
psychological
Adams et.al.(2000).Men generally opt for autocratic type of style. Women show participative
style. Thus women are more cooperative and understanding but interaction should not be linked
to being female. The interactive style include encouraging participation from employees,
sharing information, energies others (Rosener Judy, 1999). Although women have turned to
being professionals, marriage plays an important role in their lives, whether they would work
with the same motivation after being married is a food for thought.

3. Hewlett et. al. (2005) explains that most professional women step off their career fast at a
certain phase of life when they have children to raise, elderly parents to take care of.
Thus women face many obstacles, which leaves a gap in their profession. The main issue then
becomes whether they will be able to work with the same motivation after a long gap. For this
the author suggests using flexible working hours.
4. Qing (2008), conducted a study on the increasing use of technology in education. A flurry of
research studies that focus on the effectiveness of technology in elementary and secondary
Education are present.

5. William (2005), conducted a study, if both groups mathematics educator and rural educator
working together can provide an empirical basis for improving mathematics teaching and
learning in rural communities while assisting rural teachers to reveal a mathematics that is
meaningful and useful to their students.

6. Kai (2004), the conclusion of the research was that mathematical problem solving of
secondary (13 - to -14 years old) students in Singapore. From the interviews the difficulties
experienced by secondary students who were prevented from obtaining a correct solution were
(a) lack of comprehension of the problem posed (b) lack of strategy knowledge (c) inability to
translate the problem into mathematical form and (d) Inability to use the correct mathematics.

7. Karim (2009), This paper investigates how Elastic - R allows educators and students to easily
allocate, use and manage cloud resources and to work on the cloud from standard web browsers
with the most commonly used statistical and mathematical environment such us Elastic – R and
Scib, Elastic – R is also a platform and provides framework and tools that make it easy for
educator to create their own cloud based e- learning tools.

8. Shamatha and et. al. (2004), This study (a) critically examined the ways that this theoretical
framework regarding effective learning environments can be applied to a teacher education (b)
focused and applied this learning environment framework to the area of technology integration
and (c)tried theory to practice by providing examples of mathematics education technology use
in mathematics teacher education that illustrated effective learning environment framework.

9. Astrid (2009), has conduct research on the aesthetic component of mathematics. The
appreciation of the beauty of mathematics is one of the wellsprings of this subject, not only
research but also in school education. This should have implications for the teaching of
mathematics. However the beauty making elements have not been very well analyzed.

10. Handal et.al. (2003), this study investigates the frequency of online mathematical tasks and
reflects an inverse relationship with a great deal less software available at the constructivist end
of continuum. With the ever-increasing reliance on the web both in the classroom and at home it
is expected that software developers and educators will become aware of this apparent pattern
and consolidate their resources appropriately.
Research Methodology
We use a questionnaires method for the research purpose which contains 20 questions in MCQ
based so that evolution of the survey will be easy and these questionnaires will be given to the
individuals for the response.
Research was conducted on over 50 persons in many villages in Kanpur. The questionnaire
involves questions related to the education in India, education system in their area, awareness of
girl child education and smart education etc.

The individuals are asked to mark their response honestly and efficiently

Findings
From the survey we analyzed that people are very much concerned about education system. In
our survey we also found that most of the people says that the quality of education in private
school is better than the government schools but there are also some people who says that
government is better for there children.
The best part is that very less number of people are against of girl child education that is good
sign for our society. People are more literate and support girl child education.
We also found that smart classes are a mode of education now, and people are aware about the
purpose and implementation of such classes.
Local government authorities are very helpful and M.L.A visits quite frequently to education
administrations.
People also show their concerns towards children’s homework.

Conclusion
There is are so many schools and colleges who are taking high fees and not giving facilities
according to money paid by parents and also many corruption is going on education system like
many students are just paying money and get graduation degree that is not a good thing for the
future generation so government has to take some strict action against this.

To achieve greater numbers of students succeeding across the education system more
coordinated social support is needed for some students to complement the curriculum
improvements that are required in some secondary schools. Further work is needed to highlight
and introduce good practice related to how schools with high numbers of priority learners, in
particular, can work with families, outside agencies and other educational institutions to meet the
educational and social needs of learners.
