1. Introduction

E-8 Luxurious hydraulic stretcher has been produced for many years, and also has
been gradually improved through market researching, customer feedback and clinical
data analysis. The materials, processes, equipment and human capacity are strictly
controlled in accordance with international standards. The design, function and
performance of the product all reached the international requirements. It has
advantages of beautiful appearance, practical, simple operation, safety and reliability.

3. Intended Use and Scope

This product is intended to be used in emergency station and ICU sickroom of


hospitals for transferring the patients or using as an ICU bed. It owns the function of
backrest, tilting position, lifting and braking. This product is applied to the adults,
whose height is from 1646mm to 1761mm, weight 70-80kg. Nevertheless, it does not
apply in patients with mental retardation or hyperactivity, and in patients with severe
burn.

6. Installation

6.1 Installation of I.V. Pole(Figure 1)

7. Preparations before Using

Before using, please carefully check all the functions according to the operation
instruction with empty load. At the same time check if there is any problem with the

components. Make sure there is no problem and then it can be put into use.

9. Operation Instruction

9.1 Introduction of Each Part of Bed (Figure2 and Table 2)

9.2 Moving of the Stretcher

This product moves in virtue of manpower and you should release the braking
system before moving it. There are brake pedals at the both ends of the body below.
The user can step the green end of the pedal (10) to release braking according to the
direction hinted. Step down the directional pedal the stretcher will move forward
straightly in one direction.

9.3 Operation of lifting, falling and leaning

Step the pedal (7) will be lifted vertically; the front and after lean of the platform can
be achieved by stepping down the pedal (8 or 9) according to the cue; step down the
pedals (8 and 9) at the same time, the platform will fall vertically.

9.4 The Folding of the Leg Board

Pull out the crank to a certain position it will be straight forward, then rock it clockwise
the leg board will be folded gradually to the maximum degree when you hear the

sound “hua” ”hua ”. On the contrary, rock the crank anti-clockwise it is restored.
When finish rocking, remember to push the crank back to the original position.

9.5 The Folding of the Back Board

The folding of the back board is controlled by the gas spring. Push the armrest of the
gas spring upwards to the position you want then release it, that’s ok.

9.6 Operation of the side rails

The side rails of the stretcher are foldable.


The user hold the upside of it with one hand, wrench the locking button downward
with the other hand, the side rail will be in the state of sagging; while hold the upside
of the side rail and move it upward with little force, the side rail will return to the
upright locking state.

10. Designed Life Span

 YYYY-MM the product is designed to use before the year month

 The product cannot be used any more when beyond its life span, because the
aging materials may do harm to the patients and others.

11. Abandon Measure

 When the bed has reached to its end of life span, it shall be abandoned. The
body of it should be disposed by the special department.

12. Maintenance

 The stretcher shall be kept clean especially the PE board. Strong crash and
overload is forbidden and the pedals shall be stepped properly, the surface of the
stretcher shall be kept away from sharp objects.
 It is advised to maintain the stretcher once every six months. Disassemble the

key part and components, clean them and fill with grease; tighten the bolts and
nuts; replace the components which suffered abrasions.

13. Cleaning and Disinfecting

 The product shall be sterilized by cotton yarn with 75% alcohol or glutaraldehyde
solution every time after using especially by the patients who suffers infection.

15. Notice:

 The stretcher should be in the state of braking except when it needs to move.
 The side rail of trolley must be upright locked when there is patient on it.
 It is banned to move on an uneven road fast.
 It is banned to force it to move in the state of brake.
 Protection measure should be taken when the trolley stride over channel or ridge
of more than 50mm in case of emergency.
 The platform should be lowest without special requirement.
 It is banned to stand on the platform in its state of fold in case of damage
because of the convergence of the press.
 The ozone space used to smoke should be without any flammable gas. The
relative humidity should be kept below 80%
 The components which need to be replaced must be the same ones produced by
us.
 The suspending weight of the I.V. rod should be no more than 2kg.
 The dirt-proof boot should be kept from cutting, crashing and breaking to protect
the hydraulic cylinder
 The user shall be trained and the repair shall be carried out by professional staff.

16. Performance Pledge

The warranty period of the product is 12months from the date of purchase. Spare
parts are offered in its whole life. Within the warranty period, if there is any after-sale
service please contact the dealer. For the beds sold in the foreign market, the
authorized representative of EEA designated by our company will be responsible for
the pledge.
