Rebuttal paragraph :

Some people might feel corporal punishment is literally an efficient discipline method. And I
actually agree with it. Because, As A Hyeon mentioned , corporal punishment really works, t
is simple the most effective way to affect behavior in some circumstances. However, Mahatma
Ganhi once said “ Power is of two kinds, one is obtained by the fear of punishment. Power based
on love is a thousand times more efficient and permanent then the o ne derived from fear of
punishment “. If you were teachers, will you want to give students, especially little kids that
extreme fear of punishment just to have better score ? Will you ? In my opinion, it is not
worth at all. Corporal punishment is more li ke a fear that shouldn’t exist in the education,
where must have been welcoming and happy for student to able achieve better knowledge.
Furthermore, a teacher who employ corporal punishment indicates that the teacher has failed
to discourage pupil wrongdo ing . If they only want corporal punishment for training or
controlling the student ‘s behavior, they might lack of the ability or the inclination verbally
to communicate expectation toward children. There are so many other effective teaching
method that they can use to discipline student! Why they have to give corporal punishment to
student, especially the kids , the most easily-venerable people ?

Argument 2 :

So I am Hana , Im in the against side and I will talk about How corporal punishment negatively impact on
mental and physical health. Firstly , As you can see in the pic, corporal punishment is exactly an
punishment that give direct physical harm. From the former punishment to severe physical punishment ,
these corporal punishment always give the student the pain immediately . in other view, Punishing
wrong doing students by inflicting pain is the same ways as using violence to solve the problems. It
should never exist in education area! And Jinjuries dueto corporal punishment fall with within WHO
definition of child abuse , which should be legally ended .

Secondly , Corporal punishment contributes to damage children mentally .

To add to the debate, in 2016 a new meta-analysis entitled “ Spanking and Child Outcomes” in the
Journal of Family Psychology .. Their risk of becoming Physical Abuse victim , is more than 20% greater
than people who hadn’t been slapped or grabbed. People who had been physically punished at school
were almost 15% more likely to have Child Antisocial behavior compared to children that were not
spanked. Therefore, we can consider corporal punishment as one factor ruining the metal health of
students.

Furthermore, we should note that corporal punishment can impact negatively on the educational
relationship between student and teachers. Children who are frequently spanked, slapped, smacked in
class can suffer feelings of being abandoned by their teacher and the whole class. Consequently, The
student, thus begin to fear their teacher and view them as enemies or threat more than the study
guider.

Conclusion
In Conclusion, The possibility of corporal punishment at school is the controversial topic but crucial issue
that need carefully considering for our next generation. As we talked ,some people might have the same
voice with A Hyeon will consider corporal punishment as the effective discipline method and the others
on opposite side like me, however, indicates corporal punishment is the mental and physical
punishment more than educational method. As you remembered , Ganhi’s quotes “Power based on love
is a thousand times more efficient and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment” . We also see
the worldwide change in prohibition of corporal punishment. We both agree that our next generation should be
educated within love and understanding instead of corporal punishment or any fear of punishment.
