Requesting for quotation
Dear Nate Larrabee:
This request is being brought to your attention, a new order of energy efficient LED lighting to
replace the light that we already have. Currently, we have metal halide lighting for both of our
parking lots. By purchasing and replacing the old lights with the new ones, our campus’s energy
consumption will decrease because the newer light uses less energy. The budget would
approximately be around $200,000 and as projected over 5 years, an annual savings amount of
up to $71,000. In 5 years, the projected profit would be $155,000. It would take about 3-4
months to be delivered and installed.
In each of the two parking lots there are 8 light poles where the lights currently are in use. If
you were to consider buying and replacing the lights, we would need to purchase 16 lights in
total.
The desired replacement would be to change the current lights with 400 Watt or equivalent
LED are light fixtures, which also would include an integral 2” splitter mounting arm. The lights
would have a 5,000K color temperature. (Approximately daylight setting) The lights would also
come with external dimming settings that would initiate automatically.
