Sarip Tambak Oso

-Sarip Tambak Oso-

Sarip tambak oso, better known as Sarip, was born in the area east of the Sedati river
in Sidoarjo. When he was a child, Sarip and his mother ate "lemah abang" (red soil) as a
legacy from his father before he died. This also makes Sarip always feel close to his mother
even though it is very far.

The Sarip family lives simply. Since his father died, his mother replaced the role of
father in the family. That is what makes a sarip a hard and fierce-looking personality. Sarip
was also noble and helped poor people around him who were oppressed and became victims
of tax collection by the Dutch. The way to help them is to steal property from people who
work with the Dutch and then distribute it to oppressed citizens. Because of his actions, it was
troubling village officials and Dutch officials, but only the Tambak Oso village chief had
never questioned it, because it was considered a solution to people's poverty.

One day, Sarip decided to wander. A year after Sarip's departure wandered, his
mother handed over his father's inheritance in the form of a pond to his uncle Ridwan, with
the aim that his uncle pay taxes from Sarip's family and his mother could also get results from
the farm. charged to him, and the results of the farm are also never shared.

When the village head of Gedangan was given an order to collect tax from Sarip's
family, he came with several Dutch companies to collect debts. But whatever the power of
sarip mother who did not have the property to be handed over to pay taxes, finally she was
beaten by the village head and the company. The old sarip mother cried and groaned while
calling out the name Sarip "Sarriipp ... Reneo Lee ... mbokmu diajar londo le ... sarip ...
sariipp .." in english “sarip, come here your mother attacked by dutch people”.
Sarip, who was not at home and the distance from the village was very far away,
suddenly heard his mother's voice, with the magic she had, Sarip immediately returned to the
house, immediately removed the knife from the scabbard which was always tucked in the
waist and killed Gedangan village chief and the company.

Because this is the case, sarip is not permitted by the Muslim brother to settle in his
house. When Sarip became a fugitive, he came to his uncle to take back his family's rights.
But his uncle remained reluctant to return it. It was at this time that his fight with his uncle
took place, until his uncle was pressed and fled. While running away, he remembered to meet
one of the warriors in the west of Sedati, named paidi, because Paidi was very fond of uncle
Sarip's children, of course he was willing to do it.

In the end paidi and sarip fight in the river tambak oso at night. Paidi with his weapon,
Jagang Baceman and sarip with his dagger. But the weapons of the paidi are stronger and
stronger to overthrow the sarip than the dagger. Finally the dead sarip was paid in the hands
and his body was dumped in theTambak Oso .

The next morning, when her mother was washing clothes, she saw the river water
turned red, then her mother looked for the source and it turned out that it was Sarip’s blood.
Instantly her mother screamed as she said "Sariip ... tangio lee ... durung wayahe awakmu
mati lee .."in english “sarip, wake up, its not time for you to die” and immediately Sarip rose
from his death like someone who woke up from sleep. By his mother, Sarip was ordered to
leave the village and stay at the end of the village for a while. Sarip returns to look for paidi
to take revenge and fight with him. This time paidi was killed in the hands of Sarip.

Feeling his territory was polluted by Sarip's actions which carried out two murders,
the village officials, the Dutch police and the Company sought out the weaknesses of Sarip,
who although he was killed many times but was still able to live. Finally, the Dutch could
find out from their uncle Ridwan and his Muslim brother, who revealed his secret by holding
his mother in his uncle Ridwan's house as a trap. The Dutch learned that Sarip's magic was in
the cry of his mother's affection, so his mother was captured and killed by the company first,
so that Sarip would not live again when the Company's rifle bullets penetrated his body. Sarip
was killed following his mother, and his body was buried in the Tambak Oso area in a river
and covered with rocks and soil.
