NARRATIVE REPORT

The Rural Health Unit of Narvacan offers a lot of services

not just for Narvcaneos but also for other people who goes
there. There are check-ups for pregnant women, dental
check-ups , medical consultation; there is also family
planning and counseling and also vaccination.

Dra. Diana Directo Lim and Dr. Laarni Gay Batulan

are the ones in charge for medical consultation while
the dental check- ups are performed by Dra. Teresita
Canosa and her assistant Ms. Crisel Tejada. The ones
who carry out the check ups for pregnant women are
Dra. Shara Canero and her assistant. The one in charge
of the laboratory is Dra. Annaliza Redondo; she takes
urine and blood samples to be tested in the lab.

My contribution in the LGU-RHU was to help in

measuring pulse rate, respiratory rate , and cardio rate.
I also help in measuring the waist and hip
circumference of the patients. If there was a lot of
patients , I was also the one writing the data in the
medical record. Also, I helped fixed for the patients
when I arrived very early in RHU.

I learned that working in the RHU is not easy task. You

must have patience , must also know how to handle
different kinds of people. Even though there were many
patients , and sometimes it was hectic, it was still fun
since its not everyday that you get the chance to help.
