PROCEDURE

A. Preparation of AgNO3 Titration

 500 mL OF 0.1 M AgNO3 was prepared in an amber-colored reagent bottle.
B. Preparation of Chromate Indicator
 5 ml of 5% (w/v) K2CrO4 was diluted with distilled water, and stored in an amber reagent
bottle.
C. Blank Correction
 Blank correction was done by pounding 0.1006 g of CaCO3 with 2-3 ml of distilled water
using mortar and pestle. The suspension of CaCO3 at the bottom was transferred in to 3-5
drops in the Erlenmeyer flask containing 100ml of water, then 5ml of the indicator, which is
K2CrO4. Then titrated with 0.1 M AgNO3, until the color turns to brownish yellow color.
Triplicates were made.
D. Standardization of AgNO3 Titrant
 NaCL powder was dried in the oven for an hour, then divided into triplicated with weight of
0.14g-0.15g. Then each, dissolved at 100ml mark of volumetric flask with distilled water.
