Appreciation

The person who has had the most influence on the in my life would have to be

my oldest brother, Gil. When I was younger, just like any other kid with siblings, I didn’t

really like my brothers. We would always fight and only get along half of the time. As I

got older however, we all became much closer and started to talk a lot more. In my teen

years I was (and still am) depressed and it showed visibly. I didn’t really like to talk to

anyone about my feelings or my personal issues.

My older brother had gone through a lot of the same things that I had so I went to

him because he had experience with all these issues that I had. He guided me on to a

better and happier path in my life. When I had gone through my first breakup, he was

there for me. He bought me food and took me out to places to get my mind off of

everything. He took me to UFO for the very first time during this and it was very

peaceful and absolutely helped me. We talked a lot on the ride there and while sitting on

the cliff of UFO.

Gil is a very loving and caring person, and I’m especially glad that I’m able to go

to him about anything regarding my life. If it wasn’t for him I don’t know what state of

mind I would be in currently. I do know for a fact that I would be less happy than I

currently am. He has had such a large impact on my life and my character that I will be

forever thankful for his guidance and love. I haven’t seen him or talked to him in a while

because he lives and works across the country so I’m really excited to see him again

when he comes to visit for my graduation. He really pushes me to greatness and I love

him eternally, I truly do not know where I would be in this life without him.
