HABC Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England
(QCF)
This qualification is ideal for anyone aged 16+ working in the adult social care sector in England. It can be
taken as a stand-alone qualification and also forms the competency component of the Advanced
Apprenticeship for Health and Social Care. Subjects covered include principles of communication, personal
development, diversity, equality and inclusion, safeguarding, implementing a duty of care, understanding the
role of the social care worker, understanding person-centred approaches, health and safety and how to
handle information in social care settings. The HABC 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England
(QCF) is accredited by Ofqual and supported by Skills for Care and Development.

How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?


This qualification requires 315-447 guided learning hours.

How is the qualification assessed?


This qualification is assessed through the completion of a portfolio of evidence, which is compiled during the
course and demonstrates that the learner has achieved the required assessment criteria.

Individuals achieving this qualification can progress on to the HABC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health
and Social Care and Children’s and Young Peoples Services (England) (QCF)
